Description: The folder contains the following materials: - Blue “Deutsche Schule, Kairo” notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of the «Liʻb al-Manār» or «Ḥarb al-ʻaǧam». The text was copied from the ancient manuscript. The text is written in pencil on the left side, and Paul Kahle, in a few parts, added the corresponding translation into German on the right. - Blue “Deutsche Schule, Kairo” notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of the «Liʻb al-Manār» or «Ḥarb al-ʻaǧam». This text, together with others in series, was copied from the ancient manuscript in Kahle’s possession. The Arabic text is written in pencil on the left side, and Paul Kahle, in a few parts, added the corresponding translation into German on the right. In a few verses, Kahle added in red ink the indication of the metre. - Two blue “Deutsche Schule, Kairo” notebooks containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of the «Liʻb al-Manār» or «Ḥarb al-ʻaǧam», with notes. The text was copied from the old manuscript. The text is written in pencil on the left side, and Paul Kahle, in a few parts, added the corresponding translation into German on the right. In the beginning of the notebook Kahle copied in Arabic and transcribed various pieces of the play. - Various leaves with the transcription by Kahle of the Arabic text of various parts of the «Liʻb al-Manār» or «Ḥarb al-ʻaǧam».
