Description
- File containing typewritten copies of the drafts of Paul Kahle’s “Moses Maimonides’s Aphorismen (fuṣūl), Einleitung”. The drafts of the article are not complete and some pages are excerpts or parts of the text translated in full. The text of Maimonides, edited in Arabic and translated into German by Paul Kahle, was published as Appendix to the study of O. Schröder dedicated to a treatise by Galen that provides comments on the medical portion of the «Timaeus». The «Aphorisms» of Maimonides discusses a few divergences with Galen on minor points. Kahle transcribed, translated and discussed various excerpts on Maimonides, quoted in various Arabic sources on medicine, and the maqālas of Maimonides’s «Aphorisms »(«fuṣūl») as preserved in an assortment of manuscripts.
