Original manuscript containing the transcription in Arabic of the dirge mentioned as text “A” edited in Kahle’s “Die Totenklage im heutigen Aegypten”. The text was recorded from es-Sitt Sayyida Ṣabra, Meʻaddida in Cairo, resident in Šāriʻ al-Šayḫ Salāma in Cairo and dictated to Sayyid Aḥmed ʻAbderraḥīm who wrote in Arabic. Paul Kahle later transliterated it in black ink and translated it in pencil.
