Description: The file contains the typewritten copy of the drafts of the translation into English of: 1) texts nr. 1-64 edited in the first volume by Kahle – Schmidt, «Volkserzählungen aus Palästina gesammelt bei den Bauern von Bir-Zet und in Verbindung mit Dschirius Jusif in Jerusalem», vol. 1, Göttingen: Vandenhoeck und Ruprecht, 1918. 2) texts nr. 65-80 edited in the second volume by Kahle – Schmidt, «Volkserzählungen aus Palästina gesammelt bei den Bauern von Bir-Zet und in Verbindung mit Dschirius Jusif in Jerusalem», vol. 2, Göttingen: Vandenhoeck und Ruprecht, 1930. 3) texts nr. 81-130 and the letter to Djirius Abu Jūsif from his nephew in St. Louis written on September 15th, 1910 edited in the first volume by Kahle – Schmidt,« Volkserzählungen aus Palästina gesammelt bei den Bauern von Bir-Zet und in Verbindung mit Dschirius Jusif in Jerusalem», vol. 1, Göttingen: Vandenhoeck und Ruprecht, 1918. Almost all of the texts are in double copy. 4) a photocopy of texts nr. 81-130 and the letter to Djirius Abu Jūsif from his nephew. Some of these are in double copy. The translation into English also includes the notes of the German edition. The name of the translator is not given.
