Description: Manuscript copy of the transcription of the Arabic texts of the narratives edited in Paul Kahle and Hans Schmidt's «Volkserzählungen aus Palästina gesammelt bei den Bauern von Bir-Zet und in Verbindung mit Dschirius Jusif in Jerusalem» (vol. 2, 1930). Each page contains the transcription of a single text. The texts were initially arranged in an order that differs from that in which they were later re-organised and published. The texts therefore have two numbers in this version: one corresponds to the page of Paul Kahle’s drafts (pp. 165-199) and the other corresponds to the numbers of the texts in the printed edition (nos. 65-132).
