Description: Two ring binders containing the list of Paul Kahle’s books. Books are grouped by subject matter and, for the subjects, in alphabetical order; each entry bears an inventory number on the left. A list of subjects is provided at the beginning. 1) Ring binder with brand label “East Light” on the spine; it bears the annotation “Kahle Bibliothek – Katalog der Bücher” handwritten on the spine. It contains the list of books preceded by the index and by a parallel list of the books listed in order of inventory number, from no. 1 to no. 4548. Numbers and books correspond to cards contained in H232. A small piece of paper with “Anmerkungen”, explaining abbreviations used in the list. 2) Ring binder with brand label “The IXL File” on the spine. It bears the manuscript annotation “P. Kahle Bibliothek – Bücher” on the spine; it apparently contains the copies of the leaves of the first ring binder, but without the numerical list at the beginning.
