- Folder containing various manuscript and typewritten copies of documents (in transcription and translation) relating to the capitulations of the Ottoman Empire (i.e. b ilateral acts whereby definite arrangements were entered into by each contracting party in regard to the other, and not mere concessions). Among the documents enclosed : - a number of photographic reproductions of Jean Dumont’s «Corps universel diplomatique du droit des gens, contenant un recueil des traités de paix, d'alliance, &c., faits en Europe, depuis Charlemagne jusqu'à present», Amsterdam 1726, vol. 4, part 2, pp. 197-200 (with the drafts of the translation into German of the corresponding pages); - photographic reproductions of the capitulation reopening trade between Venice and Ottoman Empire, signed 2 October 1540, following the Battle of Preveza (with the drafts of the transcription of the corresponding text in Ottoman-Turkish).
