Description: Copy (partly handwritten and partly typewritten) of the drafts of a lecture given to the XVIII International Conference of the Orientalists in Leiden, 7-12 September 1931. The paper is full of notes and indications related to the manner in which Paul Kahle has to read it. A second hand (unknown) has revised the English and to a certain extend also the content. The summary of this article has been published in «Actes du XVIIIe congrès International des Orientalistes, Leiden 7-12 Septembre 1931», Leiden, Brill, 1932. A note in the end of the summary states: “La communication a paru dans la revue italienne «La Cultura», Anno X, Vol. I, Fasc. 10, Milano-Roma 1931 sous le titre “Impronte Colombiane in una carta turca del 1313” et dans «Investigation y Progreso», V, 2, Madrid, Diciembre 1931”.
