Description

Three notebooks of “Deutsche Schule, Kairo”: 1) Notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of a shadow play whose title is not indicated. The liʻb contains several billīq between two characters called Sakrān and Sakrah. The text was written down in pencil on the left side in continuity with those of I36. It ends with the following annotation: قطعه من الجاحد للسّكره صلحه 2) Notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of a shadow play whose title is not indicated. The «liʻb», with no indication of the title, contains several« billīq» between two characters called Sakrān and Sakrah. The  text was written down in pencil on the left side.  Note that «a liʻb» (or else «liʻba», "play") comprises a series of lengthy «zaǧal» pieces which the Egyptians call «billīq»; 3) notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of a play whose title is not given. The text is divided into stanzas without any title. In all likelihood written down in Lower Egypt.
