Description: Three blue “Deutsche Schule, Kairo” notebooks containing notes on the story of the corporation (in German “Zunftgeschichte”). In the larger notebook Paul Kahle transcribed a short monorhyme poem, the title of which is missing, on the topic, and translated it into German. The two smaller notebooks are full of notes that Kahle gathered directly in the field from Arabic informants. In one of these notebooks, Kahle translated some parts of the «Kitāb basṭ al-ṭarīq wa-fatāwā al-sāda al-aḥmadiyya wa-l-aḥādīṯ al-nabawiyya wa-waẓīfat sayyid ʻAbd al-Salām al-Asmar wa-waẓīfat Aḥmad Zarūq wa-masā’il li-l-ṭarīq».
