Description
- Copy (in part typewritten, in part manuscript) of the drafts of Paul Kahle’s “A Gypsy Woman in Egypt in the Thirteenth Century, A.D.”. In the article Kahle edited the transcription and the English translation of a zaǧal taken from Ibn Dāniyāl’s "Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl" recited by a Gypsy woman called al-ṣāniʻa, i.e. “the woman who performs something”. Enclosed, a few typewritten pages containing the drafts of the German translation of the text edited in English.
