Description: Typewritten drafts of a complete version of the translation into German of Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl». Paul Kahle preserved this version in separate parts, each corresponding to a «bāba». The file is not dated and at the beginning of each bāba Kahle wrote “II” or “Copy II” in pencil. The first part of the file comprises the chapters 1‐33 of the first «bāba», and is entitled «Ṭayf al‐Ḫayāl». There is a double copy of the chapter 34 entitled “Ġarīb von den Banū Sāsān”. The second part comprises the chapters 34‐58 of the second «bāba», and is entitled «‘Aǧīb wa-Ġarīb». The third part comprises the chapters 59‐76 of the third «bāba», and is entitled «Al‐Mutayyam». This copy has just a few notes and comments by Kahle. He translated into German several terms, providing their transcription in brackets.
