Description: The folder contains the following materials: - Blue folder of “Deutsche Schule, Kairo” notebook containing a modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of the play of «Liʻb al-Timsāḥ». Ḥasan al-Qaššāš wrote down in pencil an Arabic text taken from the old manuscripts called by Kahle “A”, “B” and “C”, and the various parts were edited by Kahle in his “Das Krokodilspiel («Li‘b et-Timsāḥ»), ein egyptisches Schattenspiel”. Most of the pages are written on the left side, except some in which the Arabic text is on both sides. Paul Kahle added the transliteration and translation on the right side and transcribed small portions of texts also in Arabic. At p. 4 (of the pages numbered in Arabic) it is written that Ḥasan Qaššāš attended the play. - Loose leaves with manuscript copy of the drafts of the Arabic text and the transliteration of all of the various parts published by Paul Kahle’s “Das Krokodilspiel («Li‘b et-Timsāḥ»), ein egyptisches Schattenspiel”. All the pages are numbered.
