Description: Blue folder containing the manuscript drafts of the Arabic text of the play «Liʻb al-Manār» or «Ḥarb al-ʻaǧam» published by Paul Kahle in his «Der Leuchtturm von Alexandria: ein arabisches Schattenspiel aus dem mittelalterlichen Ägypten» (Stuttgart 1930). This version is the definitive one. The text was copied by Kahle in blue and black ink from the old manuscripts; in pencil, he added notes on the metre of each part, the number of the verses, the indication of the folios of the manuscript and the names of the characters. In red pencil, a number of occasional indications of the pages of the corresponding edition. pp. 7-13 are missing from the file.
