Description: Typewritten copy (incomplete) of the drafts of Paul Kahle’s “Ibn Samaǧūn und die Anfänge der arabischen Medizin von Paul Kahle”. One copy reproduces the proof pages, marked by the editor as Ms Nr. 5967 (2), in which Kahle put together the drafts of various versions in order to form a single, still incomplete, version of the article. This is confirmed by the fact that the Arabic text was written down in black ink. The article deals with Ibn Samaǧūn’s treatise on simple drugs, entitled «al-Ǧāmiʻ fī al-adwiya al-mufrada», and other sources of Arabic and Greek physicians and specialists in medicine concerning the mandrake (in Ar. «yabrūḥ») and its properties.
