Introduction
- This series is mainly composed of bibliographical cards, related both to Kahle's printed books and to his manuscripts. The former contain the list of almost all the books and separata making up Paul Kahle’s library, and are thus particularly important for the history of the Paul Kahle Fonds, the latter contain descriptions of Islamic manuscripts compiled by Paul Kahle and others. These cards are kept in card file drawers, and are divided into cards ordered by number and cards ordered by subject. The same entries are found in two ring binders, where they are listed by subject and in alphabetical order.
