Description: Folder containing manuscript notes by Paul Kahle relating to the history of the Christians of Alexandria taken from various sources: - «The History of the Patriarchs of Alexandria», one of the major historical works of the Coptic Church. This compilation was begun by Severus Ibn al-Muqaffaʻ and was continued by others; - Severus Ibn al-Muqaffaʻ from Ms Gotha, HB, Arab 111; - Severus Ibn al-Muqaffaʻ, «Alexandrinische Patriarchengeschichte», ed. Seybold, Hamburd 1912, t. 5. The notes were kept in a folder together and were left as they were. Kahle used all these materials of his “Zur Geschichte des mittelalterlichen Alexandria”.
