In particular, Kahle preserved in this folder only notes taken from Arabic geographical works (such as Ibn Rusta, Ibn Hawqal, Ibn Faqīh, Yāqūt), «riḥla»s (such as Ibn Baṭṭūṭa, Ibn Ǧubayr), historical works (such as Yaqūbī, Ibn Duqmāq, Qalqašandī, Maqrīzī) and chronicles (such as Ibn Iyās).
