- Summary of the content of Ms Berlin, Staatsbibliothek, Diez A. Foliant nr. 57. With the signature of Paul Kahle. The Ms Berlin, Staatsbibliothek, Diez A. Foliant nr. 57 preserves a version of Pīrī Re’īs's «Kitāb-i Baḥriyye »(dated 932/1526). The copy was acquired in Istanbul by Heinrich Friedrich von Diez in 1789, (supposedly destroyed during World War II but is safely in the collection), and copied beginning of seventeenth century. It contains 50 maps.
