Description
- Two typewritten copies of the drafts of the English translation of the section concerning China (Khitay) of an historical chronicle (the source is not mentioned, supposedly «Khaṭāy-nāma» by ʻAlī Akbar), entitled “Beginning of the History of Classes of th e Kings of Khitay, which is called China, and of Māchīn, according to their pretentions; and the curious affairs and incidents which have occurred according to their belief”. In one copy, Kahle (?) noted in red ink all the geographical names and the names of the kings of the various dynasties quoted in the work in their original forms; in pencil, some notes to the translation, in blue pencil the number of the notes to the text. To supplement the translation, a second hand added a few further notes in black ink. In the other copy, Kahle added a few notes in pencil.
