Description: Various typewritten copies of the drafts of the translation into English of Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl». This English translation was never published. The file contains: 1) copies, one manuscript and five typewritten, of the Index of the first «bāba» (only one is complete). In one of the copies the content of each chapter is summarized; 2) pages in no given order pertaining to various copies of the drafts of the translation into English of the first bāba by Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl»; 3) copy (the last part of which is missing) of the drafts of the translation into English of the first «bāba» by Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl» (50 pp.). To one side, Paul Kahle added a few notes to the text, with references to the various manuscripts of Ibn Dāniyāl. The various terms are translated into English and transcribed in brackets; 4) complete copy of the drafts of the translation into English of the first «bāba» by Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl» (67 pp.). Paul Kahle wrote in pencil “Taif al-Khayāl by Muḥammad b. Dāniyāl an Arabic Shadow play from the Medieval Egypt by Paul Kahle”.
