Description: Typewritten drafts of a complete version of the translation into German of Ibn Dāniyāl’s «Ṭayf al-Ḫayāl». Paul Kahle preserved this version in separate parts, each corresponding to a «bāba». The file is not dated and at the beginning of the third «bāba» Kahle wrote “III” in pencil. The first part of the file comprises the chapters 1‐33 of the first «bāba», and is entitled «Ṭayf al‐Ḫayāl». The second part comprises the chapters 34‐58 of the second «bāba», and is entitled «‘Aǧīb wa Ġarīb». The third part comprises the chapters 59‐76 of the third «bāba», and is entitled «Al‐Mutayyam». This copy has no notes by Kahle himself. He translated several terms into German, providing their transcription in brackets.
