Introduction
- The sub-sub-sub-series “al-Manār” includes all the materials concerning the play «al-Manār» that regards the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Modern sources also referred to it with the title «Ḥarb al-‘Aǧam». Paul Kahle has devoted an entire monograph to this play, «Der Leuchtturm von Alexandria. Ein arabisches Schattenspiel aus dem mittelalterlichen Agypten» (Stuttgart 1930). This sub-sub-sub series preserves all materials related to the publication and some unpublished materials.
