Description
- Modern manuscript copy of the Arabic text of the play of «ʻAlam wa-Taʻādīr». The manuscript consists of sextodecimos bound together. Most of the pages are written on the right side, except for some in which the Arabic text is on both sides. Only the written pages are numbered. From p. 187 the text is written on the left, and Paul Kahle added the transliteration and translation into German on the right side. Kahle transcribed small portions in Arabic and, in some parts, he corrected the Arabic text. The first sextodecimo was written in purple ink, the rest in pencil. The text was all written by a single person, but is unsigned. From the information given in various articles we know that Paul Kahle obtained the manuscript in the years 1907-1908 during his stay in Egypt.
